“PRAISE THE Lord! (Hallelujah!) Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who fears (reveres and worships) the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments.” (Ps 112:1, AMP)

The State of the Union Address is usually presented by the President of the United States (POTUS), to a joint session of Congress yearly in January.  The POTUS reports on the condition of the nation and outlines his agenda and national priorities. This also includes recommendations for measures believed to be necessary and expedient.

In this time of transition in our governmental system, our heavenly Father wants us to know what the State of the Righteous is, as well as the blessings and benefits of being Kingdom citizens. The Righteous are:

S.trategic in their approach to GOD
T.ruthful in their dealings with GOD
A.lign themselves with the WORD of GOD
T.ouch the heart of GOD with their praise and worship
E.ver increasing in their knowledge and intimacy with GOD

The State of the Righteous is BLESSED because of our relationship with GOD!!

What are the blessings and benefits of being in the right relationship with GOD?  According to Psalm 112 they are as follows:

  1. His seed (children) shall be mighty on the earth. Psalm 112:2a
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he shall not depart from it.” (Prov 22:6)
  2. His generation shall be blessed – Psalm 112:2b
  3. Wealth and riches shall be in his house – Psalm 112:3a
“A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children.” (Prov 13:22a)
  4. His righteousness shall endure forever – Psalm 112:3b
“For He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” (II Cor 5:21)
  5. His light arises in the darkness – Psalm 112:4a
“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Let your light so shine before all men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is heaven.” (Matt 5:14,16)
  6. He is gracious and compassionate – Psalm 112:4b
  7. He is not afraid of evil tidings – Psalm 112:7
“Thou shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor for the arrow that flieth by day. Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness, nor for the destruction that wasteth at noon day.” (Ps 91: 5-6)
  8. His heart is established and steadfast – Psalm 112:6a, 8a
“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the LORD, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the LORD.” (I Cor 15:58)

So what is the state of the righteous? It is strong, because he trusts in the LORD his GOD. It doesn’t matter what befalls him. He will lift up his eyes to where he knows his help comes from, not the mountains, but the one Who made the mountains. He knows that GOD is Sovereign and in control of everything!

What is the state of the righteous? It is sure, because he knows the LORD is at his right hand, preserving his soul, keeping him from danger seen and unseen.

We are the righteous. We trust in the LORD OUR GOD!!!

“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our GOD!” (Ps 20:7) “Through GOD we shall do valiantly, for it is He that shall tread down our enemies.” (Ps 108:13)

The State of the Righteous is blessed, strong and secure! We are overcomers and we overwhelmingly conquer.

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” (Rom 8:35) “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” (Rom 8:37)

Yes, the battles are coming, but we have nothing to fear.
The LORD is on my side:I will not fear: what can man do unto me? (Ps 118:6)

We are the righteous man. The righteous man knows to put his faith & trust in JESUS. The righteous man is a smart man. Be smart. Be like the righteous man. Put your faith, hope and trust in JESUS alone!!!!
