Your Purpose…Your Passion
As we enter the fall season of this tumultuous year, we have the opportunity to reflect on whether we are accomplishing God’s plan for our lives. One might ask, “What is my purpose?” The answer can only come through a revelation from God.
It is stimulating to witness the diverse aspects of God’s plan for His people. This Edition of Teachable Moments Magazine is bursting with encouraging and enlightening articles by authors who have shared how God has revealed to them their purpose and how they are pursuing it with full passion and gratitude!
Welcome to our newest authors, Alisha C. Gray and Carolyn Calloway Leevy. Both have astonishing stories of how God allowed events in their lives to develop their purpose and now they vigorously pursue it with passion!
Here is a summation of what the authors had to say. When seeking your purpose, working out your salvation should be your life’s purpose. You will find that your role in this decision making process is to follow the only ONE– Lead, God our Father. Some are not pursuing their passions because they have become trapped by fear. Remember, it is never too late to dedicate yourself to the dreams and purpose that god has for your life. As you sort through your options, please know that you are someone’s answered prayer.
Once God has fulfilled our purpose and plan in this life, we will show up for The Appointment as scheduled.

Florence R. Smith is a self-motivated professional skilled in directing and organizing tasks to achieve overall mission objectives. She has been employed with the Federal Government since December 2004. During her tenure, she was deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan for six months and had a tour in England for three years. She serves in many capacities within the Gospel Spreading Church of God.
Florence has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Master’s in Technology Management, both from University of Maryland University College; and a Master’s of Strategic Studies Degree from the U.S. Army War College. She is a published author and owner of Teachable Moments Press, a Christian publishing company. A woman with a message of hope, encouragement, and inspiration, Florence will leave you motivated and inspired in fulfilling your purpose!
