“Though the fig tree does not blossom and there is no fruit on the vines, [though] the product of the olive fails and the fields yield no food, though the flock is cut off from the fold, and there are no cattle in the stalls, Yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will exult in the [victorious] God of my salvation! The LORD God is my Strength, my personal bravery, and my invincible army; He makes my feet like hinds’ feet and will make me to walk [not to stand still in terror, but to walk] and make [spiritual] progress upon my high places [of trouble, suffering, or responsibility]!”  (Hab 3:17-19, AMP)

In the midst of trying situations, when everything looks bad, don’t give up!  When everything is bad, and everything around you appears to be going wrong, don’t give up!  When you feel like you just can’t go another step, don’t give up!  DON’T GIVE UP!  Instead, GIVE IN!  To God that is.  Don’t let your circumstances make you bow down to them and give them the worship God deserves.  Don’t let them rob you of the rich fellowship and blessings that God gives as He delights in the praises of His people.  As long as there is breath in our bodies, there can be a song on our lips.  When in distress and doubt, give a Shout, of HALLELUJAH!  God deserves it.  In the midst of it all, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear.”(Ps 46:1-2a)  LOOK UP!  Too often we hang our heads, literally looking down instead of looking up to where our hope, deliverance and help come from.  The enemy has a way of showing us everything we don’t have and getting us to focus on that, thinking that’s the end, while the Spirit of God is telling us: “For our light, momentary affliction, (this slight distress of the passing hour) is ever more and more abundantly preparing and producing and achieving for us an everlasting weight of glory [beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never to cease!], (II Cor. 4:17, AMP)  God is our strength and our song, and He has already become our salvation, our deliverer.  God is for us! When He is on our side, who and what can stand and stay against us? DON’T GIVE UP! “Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.” (Phil 4:6-7, MSG)  Don’t give up on God! Give in to His peace.

Father God, in the Name of Jesus I come before You, offering You the sacrifice of praise from the fruit of my lips.  In the midst of what I am going through right now, I choose to give in to You, look to You, praise You and receive Your peace.  Help me to see that no matter what has come, or is coming against me, it cannot prosper, because I am Your child, and I walk in fellowship with You.  Help me to remember that I need only to surrender wholly to You and You will fight my battles and cause me to stand strong. You are my refuge and strength, my fortress and strong deliverer and I love You.  Amen.
