Freedom Through Restoration…
There comes a time in our lives where we are faced with circumstances and burdens that seem too heavy to handle or carry. During those moments, we often fall into the pit of frustration and disappointment and find ourselves in emotional bondage of hurt, pain, confusion, and stress. These life-transforming situations often teach us more about ourselves than anything. Carrying too heavy of loads can cause self-neglect and self-sabotage to the surface because we become far too focused on the problem at hand, rather than the solution before us. As a believer, I am no stranger to feeling overwhelmed in those moments. Through prayer and journaling, I have found my source of restoration and it was through restoration that I received freedom. You can experience this type of freedom as well! Perhaps your source of restoration is self-care or meditation. Perhaps your source of restoration is through reading and reflecting. Or maybe your source of restoration is through uplifting and empowering others. The important thing to understand is that YOU TOO CAN EXPERIENCE FREEDOM THROUGH RESTORATION. Google defines restoration as: “the action of returning something to a former place or condition.” For something (or someone) to be restored, there is evidence that either damage has been done or that a change has occurred. To restore it (them) to a previous state means that a transformation must take place – a shift must occur. This transformation or shift will bring about freedom… because you will no longer be bound by the chains that were holding you back. What are the chains in your life? Those are those circumstances, situations, obstacles, mistakes, and burdens that have become too heavy to carry and handle. When we learn to focus on the solutions (the sources of restoration that we talked about earlier), then the problem becomes manageable – the burdens become easier to carry….. WE BECOME FREE!
