A TEST
The Jericho Road is a test for the believer…
With obstacles and distractions all along the way.
We must be steadfast and unmoveable while on this journey.
If we want our reward; if we want our pay.
Arm yourself to suffer on the Jericho Road.
Many dangers and disappointments will pop-up unaware.
But these burdens and cares we don’t have to bear
Because the Lord is our Shepherd; He’s with us there.
Put on the whole armor of God as you travel the Jericho Road.
Fortify yourself – there are hills and valleys also you will face.
Stumbling blocks, too, may hinder your race
But keep pressing on until you see our Savior’s face.
So stay on the Jericho Road whatever betide.
You are not alone for Jesus is our guide.
One day He will take us home to be His bride
And in the New Jerusalem forever we will abide.
I started my journey on the Jericho Road in 1994 at the Church of God Lothian, Maryland. Down through the years, God blessed me with a wonderful and satisfying job for 38 years. Then He allowed me to retire in 2004. Now I am working in His Kingdom as I am led.
Regina has been writing poetry and short stories since high school. The inspiration for her material comes from sermons preached, testimonies she has heard and life’s experiences. Regina is a mother, grandmother and an active member of the Lothian Church of God. In addition to writing, she is an etiquette coach for young girls between the ages 10 – 15. Her passion is to help them build self-esteem using Psalm 139:14 “…for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:…” as her guide. After 38 years in the federal government, God instructed her to retire and to do more for Him. Praise God for He is her source!
