Transition Is Hard

Transition is hard. In life, we go through so many transitions that at times we do not even realize it. Transitions with family, work, kids, and friends, just to name a few. These can be hard times and even confusing, especially when they happen all at the same time.  I find myself trying to make sense of all of them. I recently went through a transition with friends. I went through many emotions from sadness, guilt, happiness, and loss. I felt that at times I was not a good enough friend or that I didn’t give enough of me, but I realized it was just time to transition. I was going into a different stage in my life and had to go from being out all the time to focusing on my family. I felt guilty having to walk away and finding myself looking to apologize. I found it difficult to find the words to say; so, I said nothing. I did not know how to explain that I am at a different stage and that I am transitioning.

Transitions can hurt you as well as other people, but at the end of the day, it happens. We move on and grow from it. Transitions are a good thing as we get to see how God has brought us from our various stages in life! God doesn’t want us in the same place for our whole lives. He wants us to grow and be blessed. To do that, we have to transition from jobs, places, and even people. God wants us whole and He wants us living an amazing life. To do this, He has to move us from somethings in order to grow!

Transition is defined as movement, passage, or change from one position, state, stage, subject, concept, etc., to another. God is moving us to a different position and not everyone can go with us. Embrace the transition God is taking you through, it will be better on the other side!
