2017: SEPTEMBER

Release to REDESIGN

Wow! I can’t believe that we are almost in the last quarter of 2017. And during this last quarter, you should be strategically planning those things you would like to accomplish for the next year. Yes, that is correct. If you are waiting for the next year to start planning, then you are already behind. The fourth quarter is one of the most important times of the year, this is the time for you to evaluate the peaks and valleys that you’ve experienced during the year. As you’re evaluating those experiences, you begin to realize that there were things you wished you had approached differently. Isn’t it amazing that when you look at things in retrospect, you can pin point exactly where they went wrong? Well, that’s the whole purpose of being able to transition through the release to the REDESIGN.

When you release, you are now embarking on the journey to your REDESIGN. What are you releasing? Past hurt, failure, loss, low self-esteem – anything that can hinder you from moving forward. When I mentioned earlier about taking time to strategize, that means you must take some time to self-evaluate too. This process allows you to take a 360-degree look at who you are and who you want to become. When those two things don’t line up, you must address them before beginning your REDESIGN journey.  When I begin my process, I first ask God to reveal those things about me that I need to work on. Why is that my first step? Because if it were left up to me, I would address some things and purposely overlook those areas that are difficult to deal with. When you are honest with yourself, it’s hard to look at those things that you need to correct, but it is necessary. In my book “Bless Yourself Chronicle: 10 Steps to Breathe Life into your Redesign” I go into great detail about being honest with yourself and why it’s so important. As you mentally transition through this journey, you begin to learn so much about yourself from the inside out. Trust me, you will see that you have been holding on to some things way too long and it’s time for them to go.

Now that you’ve released let’s REDESIGN. The REDESIGN process gives you a fresh canvas to work on, and that fresh canvas is you! So what masterpiece would you like to create? The options are endless, but we are going to look at a few.

Love-Learn to love differently. When you decide that you’re not going to love with conditions, it puts a whole new spin on how to love. Your love is now truly love. Matthew 22:36-38 (KJV) 36 “Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. (Love is the greatest commandment of them all)”

Faith-Believe without a doubt. My mentor told me that “You do not believe if you are still doubting.”  Don’t cancel out the blessing you prayed for. 2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV) “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

Freedom-Your cage is open…Fly out! You are the only one that can give away your freedom. Galatians 5:1 (KJV) “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”

I pray the transition from your release to your REDESIGN is a success.
